15.09.2007Google Lunar X Prize.Today i have different news for you. Google announced original competition and the main prize is $20 million. The goal is simple - to build a probe that will go to the moon, collect some data and send it back to Earth.
Google competition is part of the X Prize Foundation, which grants financial prizes for extraordinary achievements in field of science. The first prize was $10 million for sending a probe on the Earths orbit.

04.06.2007News.Wow, i didnt write anything for a very long time now. I am back home but not for long. In 2 weeks time im leaving for USA. Im going to stay there for 3 months and again i will have some difficulties in managing the site as i will have limited access to the internet. I will try to do as uch as i can but i cant promiss i will review everything right away. The time i spend in Finland was awesome. It is beautiful country with many friendly people. It was just great, i can say only good things about Finland. I will go there again and thats for sure. I liked it a lot:)

25.03.2007News.Some time ago i had troubles with my SQL database and the database was reseted. The effect is that all the statistics for pixel clicks have been deleted and all of them had 0. It was the only way to fix the database.

It's been sometime since i arrived to Finland but i had no time at all to check in millionpixelsadvert and i'm sorry for that. Now i have realized that i haven't sent the monthly newsletter as i didn't have time for that. I'm sorry but i probably wont have more time than this. I have one more news. I am going to Finland this Sunday to study there for the whole semester. 18.12.2006Major changes to the site.I have made some major changes to the user experience aspect of my website and re-created the menu so it was easier to find things out, added mouseover background change to this Blog, changed link properties, and what is very important, i have changed the logo of the website. I hope you like it. Now it has some christmas ornaments and after new year it will be changed again to the proper one. As you can also see the snow is falling on the page to create the christmas time effect.

25.10.2006Oh! Silly Me.I have to admit that i forgot one thing. When i updated the main sites script i forgot to add the search feature. Now it's on and working.
The search feature is designed to help you find the website your are interested in. For example if you would like to find free stuff type "free" in the text area under the counter of busy and available pixels and press search button. The next thing you see when the page reloads are highlighted advertisements with frase "free" in the describtion or the url of the website it is linking to. All other pixel images are less visible to intensify the effect. That way you will find the website you are looking for much faster then before.

06.09.2006Website down time.Yesterday there was unfortunately successfull attempt to hack millionpixelsadvert.com website. The site was down for at least couple of hours (it was night here so i didn't even know that) and as soon as i noticed that i contacted my hosting company and deleted all intrusion files/folders. According to my best knowleadge no personal data have been retrieved, no stats had been deleted or in any way manipulated. The hole through which the intruder made this attack possible was fixed by me in no time, so the fear of making it happen again is very small. I will do everything i can to assure that no such incident happen in the future.

08.08.2006Script update.I have updated the main sites script to the newer one. It has couple of new features. First of all there is an image highlight on Special Offer and Premium pixels zone. It's another reason to advertise on those grids. You are now also able to see the reserved pixels (if there are any), couple of bug have been fixed and you can now select more then one pixel block at a time when on getpixel page. There is also pixel transparency on getpixel page so it was easier for you to select the space for your advert.

21.03.2006New beginning.Forget what was before, it's time for new beginning. There are so many changes that i don’t know where to start with. First of all, there is much more free advertising space available. Now you can choose up to 30 10x10 pixels blocks for absolutely free. There is new, adult related zone only for adult sites. Special grid is also prepared for other pixel site owners, so they can advertise their site for free. The only paid zone is visible on main page and the cost of 100 pixels is just $0,50. It's been a while since last blog entry, but it has been a busy week for the site. Now it is ranked in google, and under 'millionpixelsadvert' you will find about 15 results. Nice, huh. Yahoo will give 8 results, and msn, watch out - 36 results. You will also find 6 results among top 10 for 'million pixels advert' in google search engine.
Our google AdWord advertisement was displayed 147 131 with total of 111 clicks. I think it's not bad at all.
There were entries from 49 different countries, and most of them came from USA.
That would be it for numbers.
